I don’t like new year resolutions. They have never worked for me. However, I like the idea of reviewing life annually and setting goals for the next year. In a way, subtly we are giving life direction, we are taking time to pause, reflect and figure out what we really want from life, what’s important. Of course, this doesn’t have to be at the end of the year always. We can have new year resolutions anytime of the year - as long as we follow up annually (i.e. on a yearly basis).

2008 Blog Review and 2009 Plans

I know this is still October and way too soon for a year end review. But I like to start off this early. This gives me an ample time to think about what would I like my goals for the next year to be. Moreover, it helps me to start forming habits which will support me to fulfill my goals for the next year. To simply put, November and December will be used to create a platform based on which I can fulfill my goals for the next year - for instance doing basic research, gaining knowledge, taking advice from mentors, forming strategies, making space in life for the new goals etc. In the month of January, I don’t want to scratch my head wondering how to go about with my goals. I rather want to start working on my strategy and get closer each day towards my goals.
