Thank you Lance. When there is only work we love and the joy of doing it, with nothing else in between, the experience is of total bliss. It is said that when you become one with your work, it's equivalent to meditating.

Avani,
This is so poetic and wonderfully said. In just what we do, what we choose to do - choosing those things which bring us joy - how wonderful to be able to fully experience this. Deep within. That's such a beautiful thought...

Avani, I started to respond but found my comment going long as it led toward the question of what enlightenment is.

Mind if I quote from this thread and from your post on an upcoming post on my blog? I'd like to make enlightenment/detachment my next topic after forgiveness.

Paul, I still haven't reached there but I know a few people who can detach themselves from the outcome and do whatever's required. I can only imagine what joy they must feel - to constantly work on what they want without worrying about what happens next or whether things will workout the way they want.

I do agree that working out of love for others will bring joy and world wide deep peace.

Jen, I fell in love with the snap. It's so beautiful. The joy of doing oozes out of entire snap.

'When is enough, enough?' ... I like this question. Especially when we ask this to choose our path rather than follow someone else's.

Carla, I know what you are talking about. Sometimes we get so afraid of making mistakes that the fear paralyzes us completely and makes entire feat painful rather than fun.

Important things to think about and I agree with your view overall.

Joy in the process of doing work that one performs from out of love for others and the wider world brings deep peace - whether it succeeds or not. Still, one does desire the success of one's best efforts and those of others. And there is some sadness when these are defeated, although that sadness does not override peace.
