Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort – Paul J Meyer. Top 8 Productivity Hacks will help you become productive (as is obvious). It consists of some tips, tricks and ideas to make you more efficient.

Productivity Hack #8 : Take Time Off

Work is important. No doubt about that. That is the reason why we keep looking for ways to be more productive – to work better, faster, more efficiently all the time. We want to produce more and more all the time.

However, often in the process of becoming super productive, we forget the thumb rule of productivity – take care of the one who produces. If you can’t work or aren’t fit or aren’t happy, all optimization, all productivity will go waste. Always ensure that one who produces is in his best state – of mind, body and heart.

To be in an optimal state, means to take some time off – from work, for things important to you – even if it is just a leisure activity – without guilt. Being happy and relaxed will directly improve your capacity to produce. Taking day(s) off for yourself can give you better results than slogging all day and night.

So rightfully take your time off. And go enjoy Christmas ;)

Merry Christmas to all of you

Great point on taking care of the producer.

Whenever I think of how my energy and focus are tied to my results, I remember lessons from The E-Myth. I want to decouple myself and have a system that survives and thrives regardless of me. I haven’t figure it out yet, but I’ve been asking the question, so that’s a start.

Hi Avani – I hope you’re having a great break. And I completely agree on taking time off. Having a break allows you to be creative and come up with ideas that you may not have had if you were working flat out.
