‘People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily. – Zig Ziglar’. Top 8 Motivation Hacks will help you to get motivated and stay motivated. A daily dose of either of these will enable you to stay on track with your goals and achieve them.

Motivation Hack #5 : Believe In An Exceptional You

In your journey towards goals and dreams, there are some companions which will visit you from time to time whether you like it or not. And these are fear, failure, de-motivation and rejection. They will work together and alone to take away your will, your power and weaken your belief in you.

The question here is not whether you want them with you or not. The question is what will you do when they arrive? Will you give up and allow them to be victorious over you? Or will you fight them with all your might till you gain victory?

The temptation to give up and let go will be very strong. For it is so easy to do so. Your true test will be to hold on to your dreams at times like these; with strength which comes solely from believing in yourself – Believe that within you is the power, the strength and the faith that can move mountains. Believe that you deserve your dreams, you deserve a life better than you are living.

When everything else fails, it is this belief in self that will keep you going. For no matter where you are in life today, if you believe that you are destined for better, if you believe you can create a life of your dreams, and if you are willing to work towards it, then you are truly unstoppable.

Your true challenge is to not to give in. Whenever fear strikes, tell yourself I am better than this; whenever failure strikes, tell yourself I am better than this; whenever you are rejected or de-motivated, tell yourself I am better than this. And then rise up, above and beyond them.

Marianne Williamson once said – Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be?

I like the quote by Marianne Williamson too. I’ve often thought that it is a sense of inadequacy that is keeping most of us, including myself, back but I’ve often pondered over the saying: can it really be true? Are we stopping ourselves out of fear from being truly great?

I also like what you said about not giving in. We do deserve the best!!

This is an inspiring post Avani.

I have noticed that in several cases, believing in myself makes ALL the difference. Since I especially value the opinion of people, the biggest one for me to deal with has been people’s opinions. I have only recently learnt to shield myself from these.

Hi Avani: I agree that the best defense against fear and rejection is to believe in yourself. I know some very talented people that allowed themselves to be derailed from following through on their goals because they didn’t have enough self-confidence. On the other hand, I’ve seen people with very little talent succeed because they believed in themselves.

Brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous sounds like a great way to be! Or, at least have fun trying ;)

I think the key is to get back on your horse when you fall off, carry the lessons forward, and adopt a continuous improvement mindset.

Confidence is the secret key to competence. The problem is some folks think competence comes first. It’s actually the confidence that helps you over the humps in the beginning when you’re building your competence.

I like the last quote a lot. I believe that the best way to follow your most rewarding dreams is figure out which possible action scares you the most, then follow that one – because it contains the most passion and will uncover our greatest power.

    Hi Avani!

Have your ever read “100 Simple Secrets of Successful People?” It is my second Bible. I love it! One thing in it as relates to this post, is something I keep in mind alot – We can “Declare” something to ourselves once – making a change, stating what we know has to be done. A relvelation. But that only lasts for so long. For action is our savior, which goes right along with the believing in yourself of this post. Yes, get back on that horse. For the only failing is giving up.

    Thank you Avani.

(I enjoy your blog and it’s inspiration more than you probably will ever know.)
