Who ya gonna call? Motivation Busters! Actually, busters to get rid of the busters.

SLEEP is so , so so important. When I started blogging and got addicted I thought I could fool my body into needing less sleep. Wrong! But luckily I got it all under control now.

Jannie´s last blog post..A good poem

@Marelisa: I learned to take adequate rest the hard way. Forming a habit of exercising daily is one I am focussed on these days.

@Barbara: So true, negative people can sabotage our plans and motivation levels.

@Davina: Fear freezes me too at times. I usually "eat water" in such times. It soothes my mind.

@Ross: My thoughts exactly. I usually am a very happy go lucky person. Rarely stressed out. But once stress sets it, it becomes difficult to get anything done.

Stress is definitely a big one... If I have a lot on, or have a lot on my mind then I definitely consider it a barrier to staying motivated and staying on top of my game.

I find that exercising and taking my mind off things (like you elude to in point 2) really helps.

Hi Avani. One of the biggest motivation busters for me is fear. I can't say that I have figured out a system to deal with it. It depends on the situation, but what helps to calm me is writing. That is when I open up in contrast to freezing with fear.

Hi Avani - Stress and an unhealthy life style can definitely be a motivation buster. I also think hanging out with negative people can extinguish our motivation. Sometimes it's better to keep our plans to ourselves so others don't try to sabotage us.

Hi Avani: I put a lot of emphasis now on taking care of my body and using stress-reduction methods, but there was a time when I didn't. I'm definitely more productive now, even though I take time out to take care of myself and to relax instead of working almost non-stop.
