About Early 2008 Blog Review and 2009 Plans
I know this is still October and way too soon for a year end review. But I like to start off this early. This gives me an ample time to think about what would I like my goals for the next year to be. Moreover, it helps me to start forming habits which will support me to fulfill my goals for the next year. To simply put, November and December will be used to create a platform based on which I can fulfill my goals for the next year – for instance doing basic research, gaining knowledge, taking advice from mentors, forming strategies, making space in life for the new goals etc. In the month of January, I don’t want to scratch my head wondering how to go about with my goals. I rather want to start working on my strategy and get closer each day towards my goals.

I created this blog to provide value and make a difference in lives of people.
After 62 posts and two guest posts (on Effortless Abundance and Life Optimizer), I can happily say that I have been able to provide value to readers. For some posts, I have received feedback in comments and for some through direct mails. This is the greatest achievement of all for me.
2009 Goals – Draft
Following is just a draft version. I will update this based on your feedback and one more brainstorming session.
-
My Goals
Following is what I aim to get done in the year 2009 -
- Start with a newsletter service
- Write an e-book
- Write minimum three articles per week
-
Your Role In It
This is where you come into picture. Before I finalize my goals for 2009, I would like to know from you following things -
- What kind of topics would you like me to cover?
- What article style did you like – long & detailed, short & to the point, thought provoking, solution centric, funny & meaningful stories?
- Of the articles that you have read, which articles did you like the most? And which did you not?
- On what topic would you be interested in reading an e-book from me?
- If you have any more feedback, do provide the same.
You can leave your feedback in comments below or mail me at avani [at] avani-mehta [dot] com.
I am almost done with finalizing my goals in other areas of my life. Will write about them by end of this week.

You have absolutely provided value. So much insight and knowledge that is put into words. I thank you for sharing!

Hi Avani: I think it’s great that you’re laying the groundwork now so that you can hit 2009 running. I also follow a similar approach. Your goals sound ambitious but achievable, especially given your past successes. Best of luck
You’ve really had a great year blogging Avani – wow! And laying the groundwork for the year ahead – very nicely done. I’m sure the future hold much promise for you!

Hi Avani – Congratulations. You’ve done brilliantly in such a short time. And your plans for 2009 are exciting.
I like many of your posts and it’s great that you have a variety. Some of my favourites include your Anger Management Post, The Houdini post and also the one on How To Be An Early Riser.
I’m not certain which would be best for an ebook. I definitely like the type of stuff that shows me how to do something and also posts on inspirational people.
Thank you for the link by the way.

I am a bad sleeper since I was a baby. Guess what I want you speak about
For article length I like something around 500 to 1000 words. For style everything but boring. Just surprise me every day.
Hi, An ebook, the best you could do, I think is to take the articles you think are best and develop them into a full fledged book. What about something like “Life Balance 2.0″?

Hi Avani – This is a brilliant idea. You’ve taken the time to look back and see where you came from and then project forward, where you want to go. It sounds like an exciting journey.
With regard to what I would like to read, I say, continue writing from your heart and whatever you share will be a jewel.
Thank you for the mention(s). I truly appreciate it.

Congrats on a job well done to a completely new site!! You’ve hit on a few keys to success: good content, excellent networking and a positive attitude.
I like your posts because I find that you have a balanced view of life. It shows up in your writings. You don’t necessarily take sides but adopting a position of having stepped aside to make an observation prior to making a non-imposing and well thought out conclusion.

Hi Avani. Congratulations on a successful 4+ months! I appreciate how you are mapping this all out.
I don’t always come by to read, but the posts I have enjoyed were your Anger Management Series and your post on How To Manage a Long Distance Relationship. I enjoy reading about relationships and I like a touch of humour. As for length of posts, I struggle with timing if too many blogs are running longer posts. I prefer a 70 / 30 mix of shorter to longer posts.

Congratulations on all of your success thus far! I’ve really enjoyed keeping up with your blog these past several months.
