I will stay and read more. Just yesterday, I told my daughter that denial doesn't make a problem go away and solves nothing. I recently told her that I didn't want her to go through years of ignoring a problem and suddenly wake up one day and realize how unhappy she was with the same problem building resentments instead of the problem being faced and resolved now. She apparently didn't listen and now all I can do is release the situation to her and her Higher Power. I see the problem but it isn't mine to solve for her. She is an adult with her own life to live and her own problems to resolve or not, her choice, not mine. My initial response was to write a comment and say something like, "Well I might deceive myself but it's for my own good. It's only temporary..." and continue along in that way. But then I reread what you said, and I realized/remembered (a common lesson for me) it never does any good to lie to ourselves. We're only putting off facing the truth. Instead, if I accept my issues at face value and the put energy in, when I can, to fixing them, I might make some progress! I just came over from Blogging Without A Blog.
